Isabella Martinez

Isabella Martinez is an experienced vocalist currently studying Music Education and Psychology at Virginia Wesleyan University. She has over a decade of experience singing and is a classically trained vocalist focusing on German, Spanish, French, Latin, Italian, and English literature. She enjoys singing a wide range of genres such as Pop, R&B, Jazz, and Rock. Her love of music has led her to want to become a teacher and share the joy of the arts.

Isabella attended Salem High School and was a part of the Performing Arts Academy in the Vocal Strand. Isabella is currently a part of all three Virginia Wesleyan Choirs and creates engaging lesson plans for the lower-level class she teaches. Her love for music has sparked her desire to become more educated within her field, taking masterclasses from Deke Sharon as well as Eric Whitacre. She is a Soprano Section Leader at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Norfolk and occasionally sings in jazz concerts that the school she attends holds. While Isabella does sing, she taught herself the piano in 6th grade and continues to play. Occasionally, she likes to pick up instruments, such as guitar and ukulele, and experiment with what she can do.
